The Department of Computer Science was established to meet the demand for well qualified computer professionals and was conceived in the year 1998. The Department offers a degree in ‘B. Sc. in Computer Science’. The program focuses on teaching-learning theoretical concepts, software and application development. The department has a team of well qualified and energetic faculty who are dedicated for the progress of the students. For effective teaching-learning, various innovative practices are implemented like flipped classrooms, use of e-learning platforms and services, guest lectures and seminars, industrial visits etc. Most of the students passed out, are well placed or have opted for higher studies. The department has well-equipped computer laboratories installed with latest computer software. The laboratories are installed with Wi-Fi facility. The annual intake of the department is sixty students. The department ensures that program objectives are constantly met and learning outcomes are monitored through periodical tests and assignments. The students graduating from this department get placed in leading IT industries. TCS, Accenture, Infosys, Capgemini etc, which recruit the passing out students.

  • Be prepared for cutting-edge education in computer science.
  • Understand and respect professional standards of ethics expected of computer scientists and appreciate the social impact of computing.

  • Foundations of Software development : Obtain the Ability to understand the structure and development methodologies of software systems. Possess professional skills of software design process.

  • Applications of Computing and Research Ability: obtain the Ability to use knowledge in various domains to identify research gaps and hence to provide solution to new ideas and innovation
