College Admission

Admission is purely on merit and is subject to availability of seats as per the directives issued by Deputy Director Education (henceforth referred to as Dy Director), Government of Maharashtra from time to time. A transparent admission procedure is followed strictly based on the standard norms. Any modification in admission guideline will be notified on the College notice board at the time of admission. The management of the College does not accept any donation or capitation fee for admission to any course offered by the college. The public is cautions not to fall prey to any misleading information regarding admission in the College against donation.

All admissions are provisional, subject to the approval from the Dy Director of Education.

Admissions are granted only when the candidate submits a fresh application form, complete in all respects and pays the necessary fees every year.

A student once admitted in the first term will be considered as duly enrolled for the second term unless he/ she informs in writing of his/her intention to leave the College on or before 15th October during the academic year. Students who fail to give such information before the commencement of the second term will be required to pay the full fees for the second term.

F. Y. J. C. Admissions

  1. Fresh admissions to Std XI are conducted soon after the results of S.S.C. examination of Mumbai Divisional Board are announced.
  2. Students who have passed the S.S.C Board Examination of the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education will be eligible for admission for the First Year Junior College (Std. XI). For these candidates Eligibility Certificate is not necessary.
  3. Students who have passed the S.S.C or equivalent examination of board other than Maharashtra State Board in India shall be eligible to the First Year Junior College (Std. XI) provided he/she produces a provisional Certificate of eligibility from the Maharashtra State Board of secondary Education. For details contact the college office.
  4. Reservation of seats for SC/ST/VJNT/OBC/SBC/, and other categories such as physically handicapped Candidates, freedom fighter's / Ex-Servicemen's Defense personnel's wards / in sports and cultural activities etc is as per the norms declared by Dy Director of Education.

S. Y. J. C. Admissions

  1. In house Students: Students who have passed the First Year Junior College (Std. XI) from this College in any faculty be eligible for admission to the Second Year Junior College (Std. XII) in the same faculty, on submitting application as notified by the college.
  2. A student who is desirous of changing his/her stream from Science and Commerce to Arts in S.Y.J.C. Class can do so with prior permission.
